Payroll Coordinator
The Business
Our client based in Manchester City centre is undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation and is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join their finance team on an initial 10-week contract.
There is potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual following the completion of the initial contract.
The Role
Working closely with the Payroll Lead, you'll play a key role in supporting payroll administration, data validation and payroll system activity across a multi-site environment. This role will suit an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working with data, has strong Excel skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the accurate administration of payroll activities across multiple business units.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including starters, leavers and amendments.
- Review, validate and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Assist with payroll reporting, data analysis and reconciliation activities.
- Support payroll system and process improvements as required.
- Handle payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure payroll information is managed in a confidential and compliant manner.
Person
- Experience within a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Assistant or similar role.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Experience supporting payroll system implementations or payroll migrations.
- Knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments.
- Experience within a shared services, multi-site or high-volume payroll environment.
- Experience reviewing, validating and reconciling data.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
