Charities/Not for Profit

Organisations in the charities and not-for-profit sector play a pivotal role in shaping society, often operating with limited resources while striving to make a difference. Our Consultants take pride in working closely with charities and other not-for-profit enterprises to help them employ people with the necessary skills in key discipline areas alongside a passion for doing meaningful work.

Our purpose of connecting great people with great opportunities involves recruiting for charities, as well as working with charitable organisations to improve social mobility. One way that we support local communities is by training staff at social housing providers, like our client Gentoo Group, in how to write CVs and prepare for interviews, so that they can help their tenants find new jobs.

Client quotes

I'd like to express my enormous gratitude for the outstanding recruitment campaign you led for Gentoo's Director of Marketing & Engagement position. This is such a critical position for Gentoo and in the current challenging recruitment market we were concerned we would find the right person. I was so impressed at how much effort you personally invested to really understand Gentoo, our business and culture, and how well you briefed the candidates. The calibre of candidates was excellent and I genuinely believe the high level of interest in the position was down to your work.

We reached out to Nigel Wright after unsuccessfully trying to appoint a role. The consultant took the time to understand our complex business, our team dynamics and what the role truly involved. She set expectations from the beginning that the market was tough. Within 48 hours, however, we had three interviews scheduled, from which we appointed a fantastic candidate. The candidate wasn’t seeking a new role and we would never have found them without Nigel Wright Group’s support.

Nigel Wright were successful in assisting us to explore the market and secure the right people. We partnered on a newly created Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Lead, with both colleague and customer dimensions, which made this a challenging brief. The consultant was not only extremely knowledgeable about the market but was able to relate to our culture, aims and objectives to ensure to get the right fit for the organisation. The partnership has been hugely successful.

After deciding to create a new Director of Operations role and approaching Nigel Wright Group, it became clear that we were “in safe hands.” They took time to talk through the existing workload of the Executive Trustee and how this could be re-structured into a new Director of Operations role.  It was not just about the qualifications/ability to do the role, but about the candidate’s personality and how would they fit into a small team. The support, help, guidance, professionalism displayed by all at Nigel Wright gave me the confidence to trust in their judgement, which resulted in a great hire.
