Finance Assistant

Nigel Wright are currently supporting a Prudhoe based organisation with their temporary Finance Assistant vacancy. This is initially a 3-6 month contract with the potential to move to a permanent contract. 

The Role

As Finance Assistant, your main responsibilities will be: 

  •  Manage sales ledger, raising invoices, chasing debt, allocating cash and handling queries
  • Oversee purchase ledger, processing invoices, coding, reconciling supplier statements and assisting with payment runs
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Support month-end with basic accruals, prepayments and general close support
  • Process expenses and company card transactions
  • Investigate and resolve queries
  • Assist with audit queries and general finance admin
  • Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team as needed

The Candidate

To be successful in this role, you'll need: 

  • Prior experience in an accounts assistant role
  • Confident across AP, AR and bank reconciliations
  • Exposure to month-end basics
  • Comfortable using ERP systems & Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
