Richard Morgan

Richard leads the Accountancy, Supply Chain and Professional Services and HR businesses at Nigel Wright and is an integral member of the senior management team for the North East regional business.

Each of these divisions is structured to provide permanent and interim recruitment solutions to our client base at all levels (Executive Director – Entry Level).

Richard’s specific recruitment focus is C-Level appointments across the North, predominantly CFO, FD, CEO and COO positions.

Richard has also assumed a market figurehead position for Nigel Wright, sitting on regional committees, developing a strong professional services / advisory network and leading the delivery of several keynote industry events such as the North East Accountancy Awards and Path to CFO career development seminars.

Richard graduated from Cardiff University with a BScEcon (hons) degree in Accountancy & Management. His earlier career saw him undertake his accountancy training with Reg Vardy PLC before making the decision to make a career move into recruitment in 2007.

  • We initially approached three agencies to discuss a Finance Director vacancy at The Port of Blyth. It had been a long time since we had recruited at that level and we needed make sure we got the right person. We selected Nigel Wright because of its long-standing reputation and expertise. We were also impressed by the lead consultant’s market knowledge and offer of a ‘added value’ approach. This was a challenging assignment. We needed an FD with a unique skill set as well as ‘cultural’ affinity with the leadership team and ways of working here at the Port. Nigel Wright shortlisted six strong candidates who matched what we were looking for. The documentation submitted helped inform our own interview process. This was all done within a very tight schedule and demonstrated complete understanding of our business needs.
