Sales Manager (m/w/d)
Purpose of the role

- Overall responsible for leading and driving the sales and marketing activities for the eMobility business in Germany and Austria.
- Responsible for increasing the market share in the region and establish DEFA as the preferred supplier ensuring both direct sales and sufficient distribution to reach targets.
- Develop the business and build the organization to meet strategic goals.
Main tasks
- Establish and annual update of the regional Strategy plan
- Develop yearly tactics, sales plans, activity plans and profit projections in accordance with given targets
- Ensure the overall sales performance in accordance to defined tactics, plans and targets
- Plan, direct and coordinate the sales and distribution activities for the business in the region
- Lead and coach sales activities ensuring that budgets and strategic plans are being executed:
– Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, sales & cost budget within given margin targets
– Develop relationships with new and existing clients
– Identify and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
– Maximize new business development opportunities
– Oversee and support sales development with project sales towards targeted customers according to defined sales process (relationship-building, evaluation, prioritization & follow-up of projects, CRM, etc.) - Ensure compliance with the working principles for sales, information handling and customer follow-up according to DEFA sales process
- Directly manage key/central accounts with main customers, and other main customers in the eMobiity sales channel within the defined region
- Representing the business at conferences, trade fairs and networking events
- Secure that agreed marketing activities position the company and the brands in such a way that it supports the vision, mission, strategy, and the goals of DEFA in cooperation with DEFA Group marketing
- Develop and execute multi-channel brand marketing and promotional programs that support brand growth
- Potentially take part of leading international customer relationships
Required qualifications
Sales
• A minimum of 5 years sales experience within the EV industry/Automotive industry
• Proven ability to deliver strong results
• Negotiation skills on management level
• Strong business understanding and ability to quickly evaluate business cases
• Experience in leading and coaching sales/ marketing teams is an advantage
Technical & Product knowledge
• Strong ability and interest in EV technology and business in general
• Good technical understanding (components, products and systems)
General management experience (perspective to build and grow a team)
• knowledge of business and management principles and practices
• knowledge of strategic planning
• knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures
• knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices
