Warehouse Manager 24m Contract
The Role
Reporting into the logistics leadership team, the Warehouse Manager will take responsibility for a busy warehouse and distribution operation supporting essential infrastructure activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Leading, motivating and developing a team of approximately 15 warehouse operatives, senior operatives and HGV drivers.
• Managing goods-in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities.
• Ensuring high levels of stock accuracy, inventory control and warehouse performance.
• Maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient operation.
• Managing transport and delivery activities across the network.
• Supporting operational continuity during a major Oracle ERP implementation.
• Driving continuous improvement across warehouse and logistics processes.
• Building strong relationships across operational and supply chain functions.
• Leading through change while maintaining team engagement and performance.
The Organisation
Nigel Wright are working with a leading organisation to appoint a Warehouse Manager into their business on an initial 24 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams and driving performance in a fast-moving environment.
You'll be joining at a pivotal time and will have the opportunity to influence the future shape of the warehouse and distribution operation while gaining exposure to significant transformation projects.
About You
The successful Warehouse Manager will be/ have:
• Proven experience leading warehouse or distribution operations.
• Strong people management and coaching capability.
• Experience operating within fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• The ability to manage performance and have difficult conversations when required.
• Experience leading teams through operational change.
• A hands-on, practical leadership style.
• Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
