Trust Finance Business Partner
The Opportunity
Location: Teesside
Salary: c. £36,000 – £47,000 (FTE, depending on experience)
Contract: Term-time + 3 weeks (full-time hours during term time)
We’re working in partnership with a large, values-led organisation to recruit a Finance Partner into their central finance team.
This is a broad and impactful role, supporting multiple operational sites and working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure strong financial management, improve performance and support strategic decision-making.
You’ll be joining during a period of positive change, with the opportunity to help shape processes, support ongoing improvements, and contribute to a collaborative, forward-thinking finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of sites and act as a key finance contact.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading on budget setting, monitoring and forecasting
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Acting as a business partner to non-finance stakeholders, providing insight and challenge
- Supporting statutory returns, audits and compliance requirements
- Reviewing and improving financial processes, controls and ways of working
- Contributing to wider initiatives including systems, procurement and continuous improvement projects
This is a varied, fast-paced role that combines technical finance with stakeholder engagement and project exposure.
About you
We’re keen to speak with candidates who can bring both capability and the right approach to the role.
You will ideally have:
- Experience in a finance role involving budgeting, management accounts or financial reporting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working with financial systems and data
AAT (or studying towards) is beneficial but not essential.
