The role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Specification Technologist to join a fast-paced and collaborative technical team. You will play a key role in ensuring product information is accurate, compliant, and delivered to customers efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating the collection of data required to create new product specifications
Developing and maintaining detailed product specifications in line with customer, regulatory, and quality standards
Uploading and managing specification data across multiple customer systems and portals
Liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve technical queries and support risk assessments
Ensuring product information meets all legal and safety requirements prior to approval
Managing and maintaining site documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Completing customer documentation, including SAQs and allergen risk assessments
Reviewing and approving packaging artwork
Supporting product launches with technical documentation and insight
Preparing certification documentation (e.g. allergen, ethical or product-specific schemes)

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-focused, and eager to build a career within food manufacturing. You will enjoy working in a fast-moving environment and be confident managing multiple priorities.

Key requirements include:

A background in food science or a technical/quality discipline within food manufacturing
Experience with product specifications is advantageous, though full training will be provided
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical skills
A structured, logical approach to problem-solving
Knowledge of GMP principles, food safety standards, and allergens
Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong organisational and administrative abilities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
