The Role

You will take ownership of day-to-day onsite manufacturing operations while playing a central role in shaping the site's future direction. Initially focused on production, engineering, health & safety, performance, and people leadership, the remit may expand over time into broader site accountability.

Key objectives include:

• Creating a high-performance operational culture.
• Driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people performance.
• Implementing disciplined operational management routines and performance accountability.
• Leading the evolution from reactive to proactive maintenance and engineering excellence.
• Embedding lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and structured problem-solving approaches.
• Supporting automation initiatives, capital investment projects, and future site expansion plans.
• Developing leadership capability, succession planning, and organisational effectiveness across the operation.

This is a highly visible leadership, entrepreneurial attitude, this role will require someone equally comfortable on the shop floor and in strategic discussions. Approximately 75% of the role will involve hands-on operational leadership, with 25% focused on longer-term strategic improvement and growth initiatives.

The Skills

• Senior manufacturing leadership experience, ideally 5 years+
• A background within a regulated production environment.
• A track record of operational improvement, transformation, or scaling businesses.
• Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise.
• Experience leading multi-functional teams, 50+
• A hands-on leadership style with the credibility to influence at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving, coaching, and performance management skills.
