The Role
A well-established UK business is seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships and lead a customer-focused team.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on commercial responsibility. You will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the sales function, supporting business growth, and ensuring the organisation maximises opportunities across both existing and new customers.
The successful individual will be comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level, leading people while remaining actively involved in customer engagement and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a team across sales and customer-facing functions.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through a combination of business development and account expansion activities.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and support significant commercial opportunities.
- Ensure focus is placed on the most commercially attractive opportunities within the sales pipeline.
- Analyse sales performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion, profitability and customer retention.
- Champion best practice in sales processes, forecasting and customer relationship management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the wider commercial strategy.
- Represent the organisation with customers, industry contacts and key stakeholders.
The Skills
- Ideally you will hold a Degree, professional sales qualification, or equivalent commercial experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Senior leadership position with genuine influence across the organisation.
