Senior Insight Analyst

North West England | Remote  Permanent  £75000 Ref: 419994

Introduction

Are you a naturally curious analyst who enjoys turning complex data into clear, meaningful insights that influence business decisions and drive better outcomes?

Nigel Wright Group is delighted to be supporting the search for a Data Insights Analyst on behalf of an innovative and rapidly growing AI-enabled analytics business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is using advanced analytics, data science and technology to help organisations better understand customer experiences and make more informed decisions.

Operating across the UK and USA, the business has developed a market-leading SaaS platform that delivers real-time analytics and actionable insight to its customers. With continued growth and investment, the company is looking to strengthen its analytics capability and is seeking a talented Data Insights Analyst to play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful recommendations that support both commercial and operational decision-making.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, ambitious and forward-thinking organisation where you'll have genuine ownership, visibility and the chance to make a tangible impact.

The Role

As a Data Insights Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing large and complex datasets, identifying trends and patterns, and translating your findings into clear, actionable insights for both clients and internal stakeholders.

You'll play a highly visible role within the business, working closely with a variety of stakeholders and taking ownership of analytical projects from initial scoping through to final delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analysing internal and external data sources to identify trends, patterns and actionable insights.
• Producing reports, presentations and visualisations for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Applying statistical analysis, predictive analytics and, where appropriate, machine learning techniques to generate meaningful insights.
• Managing analytical projects from requirements gathering through to successful delivery.
• Translating complex analysis into commercially relevant recommendations.
• Presenting findings in a clear and engaging way for non-technical audiences.
• Collaborating with data engineering teams to improve data quality, collection processes and analytical capabilities.
• Supporting customers and stakeholders in making data-driven decisions.

This role offers an excellent combination of technical analysis, stakeholder engagement and commercial impact, providing the opportunity to influence decisions across a growing business and its customer base.

What We're Looking For

Success in this role will depend as much on your communication skills, curiosity and commercial thinking as it will on your technical capability.

We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems with data and who can confidently translate analytical findings into compelling stories and practical recommendations. You'll be comfortable working with large datasets, engaging directly with stakeholders and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

You'll thrive in a collaborative and agile culture where initiative is encouraged and where you'll have the freedom to make a genuine contribution.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Data Analyst, Insights Analyst or similar analytical role within a commercial environment.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience working with large cloud-based datasets.
• Strong statistical and analytical capabilities.
• Experience creating reports, presentations and insight-led recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive, solutions-focused and intellectually curious approach.

We're also interested in candidates who may have experience with:

• Machine learning or NLP techniques.
• Tableau or Power BI.
• AWS and GitHub.
• A postgraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline.

Why This Role Stands Out

• Remote-first role with flexibility and autonomy.
• Opportunity to join a fast-growing AI and analytics business.
• Exposure to complex, real-world datasets and meaningful analytical challenges.
• Strong involvement with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Genuine ownership of projects from inception to delivery.
• Excellent opportunities for career development and progression.
• Collaborative, supportive and innovative culture.
• Competitive salary, bonus potential and additional wellbeing benefits.
