Role
As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you'll take a leading role in developing user-facing features across an established SaaS platform.
You'll have genuine influence over front-end architecture and technical direction, working closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to turn complex requirements into scalable, accessible and high-performing experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing responsive front-end components, primarily using React
- Taking ownership of front-end architecture decisions and contributing to longer-term technical strategy
- Working closely with product and design teams on complex UI/UX challenges
- Championing performance, accessibility and responsive design
- Producing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Mentoring other developers and helping raise engineering standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement across engineering practices
Person
We're looking for an experienced front-end engineer who combines strong hands-on development skills with the ability to influence technical decisions and support others.
You'll ideally bring:
- 5+ years' front-end development experience
- Strong commercial experience with React and TypeScript
- A solid understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns and component-based applications
- Experience with Vue.js, or the ability to work comfortably across modern JavaScript frameworks
- Knowledge of Git, Agile delivery, CI/CD and DevOps practices
- A strong understanding of web performance, accessibility and responsive design
- Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product and design colleagues
