The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a well-established organisation within the ports, logistics and infrastructure sector, based in Scunthorpe.

This is a high-impact, commercially focused role where you’ll partner with operational leaders to drive performance, influence decision-making and play a key role in shaping future strategy across a complex, asset-heavy business.

Your Duties/Responsibilities

Partner with senior operational stakeholders to drive financial performance and improve commercial outcomes
Provide insightful financial analysis, reporting and challenge to support strategic decision-making
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes for key business areas
Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
Monitor KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise performance
Support business cases, investment appraisals and capital expenditure decisions
Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting
Act as a trusted advisor, influencing and challenging stakeholders where appropriate
Collaborate with wider finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information

You Will Be/Have:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience in a business partnering role, ideally within a complex, operational or asset-heavy environment (e.g. logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, ports)
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Confident communicator who can simplify complex financial information
Analytical mindset with advanced Excel and strong data interpretation skills
Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
Able to operate both strategically and hands-on when required
Proactive, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
