The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a well-established organisation within the ports, logistics and infrastructure sector, based in Scunthorpe.
This is a high-impact, commercially focused role where you’ll partner with operational leaders to drive performance, influence decision-making and play a key role in shaping future strategy across a complex, asset-heavy business.
Your Duties/Responsibilities
- Partner with senior operational stakeholders to drive financial performance and improve commercial outcomes
- Provide insightful financial analysis, reporting and challenge to support strategic decision-making
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes for key business areas
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Monitor KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise performance
- Support business cases, investment appraisals and capital expenditure decisions
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and reporting
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing and challenging stakeholders where appropriate
- Collaborate with wider finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
You Will Be/Have:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a business partnering role, ideally within a complex, operational or asset-heavy environment (e.g. logistics, manufacturing, infrastructure, ports)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Confident communicator who can simplify complex financial information
- Analytical mindset with advanced Excel and strong data interpretation skills
- Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Able to operate both strategically and hands-on when required
- Proactive, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
