The Opportunity
Sales Director – Chilled Food | Premium Brand | Scale-Up Opportunity
Salary: c.£90k + £10k Car + Healthy Bonus + LTIP
Location: Fully Remote
Working with a well-established, premium food manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, provenance, and a genuinely differentiated range within chilled meals.
This is a business with real heritage and a loyal customer base, operating across both branded and own label. Their products are locally sourced, fresh, and sit firmly at the premium end of the market — a proposition well aligned to retailers such as Waitrose and other quality-led grocery environments.
Backed by investment and a clear growth strategy, they are set up to scale significantly over the next few years, with a clear ambition to build a £20M+ premium branded business.
To unlock that potential, they are looking for a commercially driven Sales Director who knows how to navigate the UK retail landscape and successfully scale chilled food brands within major supermarkets.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a pivotal leadership role with full ownership of the commercial agenda.
You will:
- Lead and deliver the retail strategy, securing listings across UK grocery multiples
- Build strong, credible relationships with category/buying directors across chilled categories
- Drive both branded and own-label growth
- Bring pace, structure, and accountability to the sales function
- Play a key role in shaping and executing the broader growth strategy
This role will suit someone who has:
- A proven track record selling chilled food into UK retailers
- Strong relationships across grocery, particularly within premium categories
- Experience taking brands from limited distribution to broader retail presence
- A hands-on, commercial mindset - comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels
- The presence and credibility to contribute at Board level
- Most importantly, you will be motivated by building rather than maintaining - someone who wants to create value.
