The role
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will take ownership of the site's day-to-day quality operation, leading a dedicated team and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, compliance, and product quality are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the quality team through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Driving a right-first-time culture and reducing quality losses across the operation.
- Leading BRC and internal audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
- Managing quality systems, HACCP programmes, product specifications, traceability processes, and compliance documentation.
- Supporting crisis management activities, internal auditing programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working closely with production, engineering, and operational leadership teams to resolve quality challenges and drive standards.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and leading projects that enhance quality performance and operational effectiveness.
- Providing strong leadership and sound decision-making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The candidate

The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager or Quality Assurance Manager position within food manufacturing.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams through coaching, engagement, and performance improvement.
- Strong knowledge of BRC standards, HACCP principles, and food safety management systems.
- Experience independently leading external and internal audits.
- Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3 qualifications or above.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to make confident decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence positive change.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
