Ready to take ownership of procurement in a business where your decisions will have a visible impact?

We’re recruiting a Procurement Manager for a growing organisation in the North East at an important point in the development of its procurement function.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity combining project procurement, supplier performance, commercial negotiation and team management. You’ll inherit an established supplier base and procurement processes, while having the opportunity to improve performance, deliver savings and support further development of the supply chain.

Hybrid working - 3 days a week on site.

The Opportunity

The Procurement Manager will take responsibility for:

  • Helping prioritise requirements in a fast-moving, project-led environment

About You

You could already be operating as a Procurement Manager, or you may be an accomplished Senior Buyer ready for your first management opportunity.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate experience of procurement within a technical, manufacturing or project-led environment, alongside strong negotiation, supplier management and stakeholder-management capability.
Experience of managing bought-out or subcontract requirements, supplier performance, technical specifications or drawings would also be valuable.
Above all, you’ll need the commercial judgement and confidence to make decisions, challenge constructively and establish credibility with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
