Procurement Officer
The Role
Working as part of an established procurement team, you will support the delivery of procurement projects, contract management activities and sourcing initiatives, helping to ensure compliance, value for money and best practice.
Day to day duties include:
- Support competitive tender processes, contract awards and framework call-offs.
- Assist with sourcing activities and supplier engagement to identify value-for-money solutions.
- Support contract management.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to provide procurement guidance and ensure compliance.
- Assist with supplier negotiations and contract discussions.
- Support the maintenance of procurement pipelines and project registers.

Nigel Wright are recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join a busy and growing procurement function, supporting a wide range of commercial and sourcing activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement experience who is keen to develop their experience and work towards further CIPS qualifications.
About You
The successful Procurement Officer will be/ have:
- Prior procurement experience from a public sector or regulated environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written communication skills, including report writing and documentation.
- Good stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
