Fabric Reporting Manager

The Company

Nigel Wright Tech are delighted to be working with an established North East housing association in their search for a Power BI/Fabric Reporting Manager. 

The Role

You'd be joining at an important time in their data transformation journey as the company look to move away from traditional reporting and legacy data platforms towards a modern, cloud based data ecosystem built on Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Azure DevOps and Power BI. Key responsibilities include: 

• Lead the migration from traditional reporting approaches to Microsoft Fabric, helping establish the foundations for self-service analytics 
• Take ownership of semantic modelling and reporting standards within Microsoft Fabric, ensuring the analytics platform is scalable, permanent and supports future growth 
• Manage and mentor a team of Power BI specialists 
• Deliver intuitive Power BI dashboards and data products that enable colleagues to make informed decisions using trusted, accessible data 
• Work in partnership with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement 

The Requirements

This is a fantastic role whereby you will play a prominent part in supporting the business during their data transformation journey. You will have the opportunity to lead the the delivery of innovative reporting, analytics and data science solutions. Key requirements include: 

• Experience delivering reporting solutions using modern data platforms using Fabric and Synapse 
• Bring recognised expertise in Power BI data analysis as well as recognised Microsoft credentials 
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake and Direct Lake 
• Previous experience of managing reporting teams
• Technical knowledge and expertise in semantic modelling, DAX, SQL and Python
