Membership Development Executive
The Opportunity:
We are supporting a well-established membership-based organisation as it continues to invest in the growth of its commercial team.
Following a recent review of its commercial structure, the organisation is creating a dedicated Membership Development Executive position to support future growth and strengthen its new business capability. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative team at an exciting stage of its ongoing development, where you'll receive significant support, coaching and development whilst helping to drive member acquisition. Working closely across the team you'll play a key role in identifying prospective organisations, opening conversations and creating opportunities that contribute directly to the organisation's continued growth and success.
Role Profile:
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious business development professional looking to develop their commercial career within a supportive and evolving environment. You'll be responsible for generating interest, creating opportunities and building a pipeline of prospective members through a combination of outbound activity, relationship building and consultative conversations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generating new opportunities through outbound prospecting activity
- Building relationships with prospective organisations and key stakeholders
- Executing targeted outreach campaigns via telephone, email and LinkedIn
- Conducting discovery conversations to understand business challenges and objectives
- Creating and nurturing a pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Working closely with senior colleagues to progress opportunities through the sales process
- Supporting membership growth initiatives and commercial campaigns
- Contributing ideas and feedback to help improve sales effectiveness and commercial processes
Person Specification:
- Previous experience within business development, recruitment, lead generation, customer acquisition or outbound sales
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations with prospective clients
- Curious, inquisitive and naturally consultative in approach
- Organised and self-motivated
- Resilient and proactive with a positive attitude
- Desire to learn and develop within a commercial environment
