Management Accountant

The Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified or nearly qualified Management Accountant near Bridlington to join a well-established organisation undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. Operating within a supportive yet agile environment, this role offers significant exposure across the business, working closely with senior stakeholders and playing a key part in shaping financial performance and decision-making.
This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys ownership, variety and the opportunity to influence outcomes beyond the finance function.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities.
- Produce financial reports, KPIs and business performance analysis.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Assist with VAT returns, financial controls and compliance requirements.
- Support year-end and interim audit processes.
- Contribute to business cases and financial evaluation of investment opportunities.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and insight to support strategic initiatives.
You Will Be/Have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification.
- Experience producing management accounts and month-end reporting.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Confident working with stakeholders across a business.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, construction or project-driven environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
