Management Accountant
The Opportunity
A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Management Accountant to join its site-based finance team. Reporting into the senior finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting business performance through insightful analysis and collaboration with both finance and operational stakeholders.
The Role
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
- Review financial data, identify variances, and provide meaningful analysis to support decision-making
- Maintain strong financial controls through regular review of key balance sheet accounts
- Deliver reporting and insights to support business performance and operational efficiency
- Monitor outstanding financial transactions and work with colleagues to resolve issues promptly
- Support cash flow, stock, and working capital reporting activities
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy
The Person
- Experience within a finance or accounting role, ideally involving month-end reporting responsibilities
- Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities with a naturally inquisitive approach
- Able to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Comfortable managing competing deadlines in a busy environment
- Proactive, adaptable, and keen to contribute to business improvement initiatives
- Studying towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional qualification would be advantageous
