The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the finance team of a successful and growing manufacturing business. Based on site, this role offers exposure to both the financial and operational aspects of the business, making it ideal for an ambitious accountant looking to develop their career within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Supporting the senior finance team, you will be responsible for producing accurate management information, enhancing financial controls, and providing meaningful analysis to support business performance. The role offers significant stakeholder interaction, allowing you to partner with operational teams and play an active role in driving efficiencies and informed decision-making.

The Role

• Assist in the production of monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
• Review financial data, identify variances, and provide meaningful analysis to support decision-making
• Maintain strong financial controls through regular review of key balance sheet accounts
• Deliver reporting and insights to support business performance and operational efficiency
• Monitor outstanding financial transactions and work with colleagues to resolve issues promptly
• Support cash flow, stock, and working capital reporting activities
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy

The Person

• Experience within a finance or accounting role, ideally involving month-end reporting responsibilities
• Strong numerical and problem-solving abilities with a naturally inquisitive approach
• Able to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Comfortable managing competing deadlines in a busy environment
• Proactive, adaptable, and keen to contribute to business improvement initiatives
• Studying towards, or interested in pursuing, a professional qualification would be advantageous
