Maintenance Technician

The opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join their established maintenance team supporting a complex manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on, shift-based role focused on ensuring equipment uptime and supporting production efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and restoring production quickly
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Fault finding on automated machinery, robotics and PLC-controlled systems
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
- Working collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime
- Maintaining accurate records via CMMS systems
About you
- Electrically biased, multi-skilled technician with experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Strong fault finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment (diagnostics and interrogation)
- Ideally exposure to automated or robotics-based production environments
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent)
- Comfortable working a 12-hour continental shift pattern
- Reliable, hands-on and team-focused approach
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support evolving, more proactive maintenance practices
