The opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join their established maintenance team supporting a complex manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on, shift-based role focused on ensuring equipment uptime and supporting production efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:

Responding to equipment breakdowns and restoring production quickly
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
Fault finding on automated machinery, robotics and PLC-controlled systems
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
Working collaboratively with production teams to minimise downtime
Maintaining accurate records via CMMS systems

This role offers exposure to a wide range of technologies across both automated and high precision environments.

About you

Electrically biased, multi-skilled technician with experience in manufacturing maintenance
Strong fault finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment (diagnostics and interrogation)
Ideally exposure to automated or robotics-based production environments
Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ Level 3/4 or equivalent)
Comfortable working a 12-hour continental shift pattern
Reliable, hands-on and team-focused approach
Positive attitude with a willingness to support evolving, more proactive maintenance practices
