Logistics Specialist

The Role

Key responsibilities for the Logistics Specialist include:

• Managing end-to-end international shipping
• Preparing, reviewing and overseeing imports
• Ensuring accurate commodity codes are used
• Working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitoring changes to customs legislation and implementing compliance requirements.
• Maintaining accurate customs documentation.
• Producing compliance reports and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

The Organisation

Our client, a well-established international consumer products business, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their head office team. This is a standalone role ensuring international goods move efficiently and correctly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working autonomously, making informed decisions, and acting as the subject matter expert.

About You

We are looking for an experienced logistics professional who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a specialist function.

You will have:

• Proven experience managing global shipping from end to end.
• Strong knowledge of commodity codes and incoterms
• Experience working with freight forwarders
• Experience maintaining accurate records to support post-clearance activities
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise work load effectively
• Experience using customs systems and producing compliance-related reporting.
