Liberate Case Management System Administrator

Newcastle upon Tyne | Remote  Permanent  Negotiable, depending on experience Ref: 418660

Company

Our client is a growing, professional services business with a strong reputation in its market and a busy, fast-moving working environment. The organisation has invested heavily in modernising its wider IT estate and is now turning its attention to its core case management platform.

The business currently uses Liberate as a central system across a number of departments. While a future move to a new web-based case management system is likely, Liberate will remain business-critical for the foreseeable future. As a result, the organisation is looking to bring in dedicated expertise to improve, support and optimise the platform, while also helping shape the foundations for any future system migration.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, professional and collaborative business where technology plays a key role in improving how people work day to day.

Role

This is a hands-on Liberate Case Management Administrator role, supporting the existing system then helping with selection, implementation and configuration of a new solution.

The immediate focus will be to come into the business, work closely with department heads and key users, understand current workflows, identify where Liberate can be improved, and develop a clear scope of work and delivery timeline. From there, you will take ownership of delivering agreed improvements, configuring the system, streamlining processes and helping the business get more value from its existing case management platform.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing existing Liberate workflows, screens, processes and configuration
  • Working with department heads and users to understand pain points and priorities
  • Developing a scope of work, delivery plan and timeline for improvements
  • Configuring and improving Liberate to make processes more efficient
  • Supporting changes such as workflow updates, rates, tables, screens and process amendments
  • Reducing reliance on third-party support by providing stronger in-house expertise
  • Documenting existing processes and system configuration
  • Helping prepare the business for a future case management system implementation
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for Liberate and wider legal/case management processes

The role can be highly flexible from a location perspective. Some initial time on site may be useful to understand the business and build relationships, but much of the work can be delivered remotely.

Person

We are looking for someone with strong Liberate experience who can hit the ground running. This is not a software developer role, but it will suit someone who understands how Liberate works in practice and is comfortable configuring, improving and supporting a complex case management environment.

You may currently be a Liberate administrator, super user, systems analyst, legal systems specialist or case management specialist. You might have worked in a law firm or professional services environment and gained hands-on experience improving workflows, processes and system configuration.

The ideal person will bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Liberate case management systems
  • A good understanding of legal or professional services workflows
  • Experience improving, configuring or supporting case management platforms
  • Confidence working directly with department heads and senior users
  • The ability to translate business requirements into practical system improvements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, delivery-focused approach
  • An understanding of workflows, screens, tables, SQL or Visual Basic would be useful
  • Experience with other legal case management systems, such as Proclaim or similar, may also be relevant
  • The ability to document processes and support future system migration planning

This would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, making systems work better, and delivering practical improvements that genuinely make people’s working lives easier. There is also potential for the successful person to play a key role in the selection and implementation of a future case management platform.
