The Business

Nigel Wright have been exclusively appointed to support a superb organisation with the recruitment of an Internal Auditor.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Internal Auditor to take ownership of a varied portfolio of high-profile assignments and make a visible contribution to how risk is understood, controlled and managed.

Working as part of a close-knit audit team, you will operate with considerable autonomy. Your remit will extend beyond traditional financial audit, providing exposure to operational, customer-focused and specialist reviews.

The Role

Duties will include:

Plan audits and agree their scope with senior stakeholders
Assess business and emerging risks
Identify, evaluate and test key controls
Manage assignments through to completion within agreed budgets
Produce clear, concise reports that focus attention on the issues that matter
Present findings
Stakeholder engagement

Background

You will be a fully qualified accountant through ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA, with substantial recent audit experience and the confidence to manage assignments with limited supervision.

You will combine strong technical judgement with excellent report-writing, planning and stakeholder-management skills.

A full, clean driving licence is required.
