Pay Rate: £400 - £450 p/d rolled-up, inside IR35
Location: Warrington (fully onsite)

Interview process: 1 virtual stage + psychometric testing

We are looking for an experienced Interim HR Manager / Senior HR Business Partner to take ownership of a broad UK HR remit during an important period of change.

This is an opportunity to become the senior HR presence on the ground, combining operational delivery with the chance to strengthen HR processes and influence how the function operates longer term.

Key Responsibilities

Alongside providing immediate operational support, you will have the opportunity to leave the organisation with stronger processes, clearer ownership and a more robust HR framework.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert, practical guidance on UK employment law and employee relations
  • Managing complex ER, performance and long-term absence cases
  • Coaching managers through sensitive and challenging people issues
  • Supporting recruitment and organisational change
  • Providing HR support across a geographically dispersed workforce
  • Supporting trade union matters and negotiations where required
  • Reviewing HR documentation, processes and controls
  • Identifying compliance or operational gaps and implementing practical improvements
  • Helping create consistent, robust and effective HR practices
  • Working collaboratively with an international People team

About You

We are particularly interested in experienced HR Managers, Senior HR Business Partners or established HR interims who can combine sound judgement with a genuinely hands-on approach.
You will ideally bring:

  • Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law
  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations matters
  • Experience supporting operational and/or multi-site workforces
  • Confidence advising senior stakeholders and line managers
  • Experience across absence, performance, recruitment and organisational change
  • The ability to quickly assess HR processes and identify areas requiring improvement
  • A pragmatic and commercially minded approach
  • The confidence to work autonomously and make sound decisions
Experience working with unionised employee populations would be advantageous.

What's next?

The immediate priority is to provide continuity and high-quality operational HR support, but the assignment offers more than business-as-usual HR. You will have the opportunity to assess the existing HR infrastructure, make improvements and help influence how HR support is delivered in the future.

The appointment is urgent, so we are particularly interested in individuals who are immediately available or able to start at short notice (1-2 weeks) and able to work on site fulltime in Warrington.

Interested? Contact Joshua Holmes at Nigel Wright Group for a confidential discussion.
