The opportunity;


We are delighted to be working with a highly successful organisation in search of a critical role for their leadership team, to lead their people function and take the business on the next phase of it's journey.

As Interim Head of People, you’ll provide steady, credible leadership to an established people function during a planned transition  This role is all about maintaining momentum, supporting and leading a strong team, and making thoughtful, incremental improvements where they count.

Based onsite in Cheshire, this is a 9 month contract (part time may be considered for 4 days).
 

Key Responsibilities;


The Interim Head of People will;

  • Provide continuity and stability across the leadership and people teams.
  • Step into an established people function and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee Talent, People Partnering and Culture, provide leadership and direction.
  • Maintain and nurture company culture, ensuring they are lived across the leadership teams, driving high performance and high trust. 
  • Partner with senior leadership, working closely with executive stakeholders to support organisational wellbeing and performance and acting as a trusted advisor on people-related matters.
  • Act as a visible, on-site leader and build relationships quickly across the business.

About you;

 

  • You will be able to bring your experience as a highly experienced, credible people leader.
  • A seasoned operator with proven leadership experience, able to step in quickly and command confidence at senior level.
  • Able to stabilise, maintain performance, and ensure continuity.
  • Background in smaller, tech-led environments would be advantageous.
  • Strong cultural alignment and values-led leadership style.
  • Able to support the leaders to drive high performance through people.
  • Hands-on, visible, and able to build trust quickly.
  • Able to start in September.
