The Opportunity:

HR Officer (6-Month Contract)

  • Cumbria (Onsite)
  • Circa £30,000 (pro rata)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Officer to join a busy and fast-paced HR team on a 6-month temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a generalist role and enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle.

The Role:

Supporting a wider HR function, you will provide day-to-day generalist HR support, ensuring a high-quality and responsive service to managers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including starters, leavers, and changes
  • Providing advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Assisting with low-level employee relations casework (e.g. absence, conduct, and performance)
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and systems
  • Supporting wider HR projects and administrative activity as required

About You:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role
  • Confident managing recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Comfortable supporting low-level ER cases
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
  • Proactive, team-focused and able to work onsite in a collaborative environment
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
