The Opportunity:
Interim HR Administrator
- Northumberland | Office-Based (Minimum 4 Days per Week)
- £14–£16 per hour (depending on experience)

We are supporting a well-established and highly regarded organisation in Hexham that is seeking an Interim HR Administrator to join their close-knit Business Services team during an exciting period of transition and development. This role offers the chance to truly add value, helping to strengthen HR processes, improve data accuracy and support the successful implementation of new HR systems.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, takes pride in delivering high-quality administration, and is happy to roll up their sleeves to support a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a small, collaborative team, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR administration while helping to improve and modernise HR processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing HR administration activities across the employee lifecycle
- Auditing, reviewing and validating employee data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Supporting the migration and organisation of HR records within People HR
- Assisting with the rollout of training and competency management systems
- Preparing HR documentation, forms and correspondence
- Creating clear process guides and work instructions for new systems
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding administration
- Handling general business support and administrative tasks as required
- Providing a professional first point of contact for employee queries
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous HR Administration experience or strong office administration experience with exposure to HR processes
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Experience working with HR systems and employee data
- Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to document processes clearly
- A positive attitude and willingness to support wider business activities when required
