Head of Treasury

Company

Global organisation based in Manchester City Centre have a new opportunity for an accomplished treasury professional to take ownership of a broad and influential remit spanning cash, debt, foreign exchange and banking relationships. Combining strategic input with hands on delivery, you will improve the quality of treasury insight, strengthen controls and help the organisation make better informed financial decisions.

The role

Working closely with the CFO you will; 

  • Lead cash, liquidity, debt and foreign exchange management
  • Enhance cash flow forecasting and reduce cash balance volatility
  • Manage relationships with core banking partners
  • Oversee treasury, intercompany netting, expenses and payment-related systems
  • Deliver clear, insightful reporting to senior finance stakeholders
  • Support the structuring of debt facilities and acquisition related financing
  • Maintain effective banking controls, documentation and account governance
  • Drive continual improvements in treasury processes, systems and ways of working
  • Develop strong relationships with finance stakeholders across multiple locations
  • Coach and support a treasury team member

The person

You will be an experienced treasury professional who combines strong technical knowledge with sound commercial judgement. Comfortable working across both strategic and operational priorities, you will communicate clearly, build trusted relationships and bring a proactive approach to improving treasury processes and controls.
You will bring:

  • Significant experience within corporate treasury and/or banking
  • An ACT and/or ACIB qualification
  • Strong knowledge of cash, liquidity, debt and foreign exchange management
  • Excellent analytical, planning and negotiation skills
  • Experience of improving cash flow forecasting, controls and treasury processes
  • The confidence to engage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong systems capability, particularly in Excel and treasury-related platforms
  • A collaborative, self motivated and resilient approach
  • The ability to prioritise effectively within a broad and varied remit
  • Experience of coaching or managing others
