An established organisation is creating a senior leadership role to strengthen governance across its supply chain. The Head of Supply Sustainability and Compliance role is opportunity to move beyond reactive compliance, build a forward-looking governance framework and influence responsible business practices at senior level.
Hybrid working - 2 days per week office based - excellent benefits package.
The Opportunity
The Head of Supply Sustainability and Compliance will work closely with procurement leadership and wider stakeholders and will:
- Lead supply-chain governance, risk, ESG and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor emerging legislation and translate it into practical policies, controls and supplier-engagement programmes.
- Oversee areas including modern slavery, IR35, certification compliance, supplier financial health and decarbonisation.
- Strengthen audit readiness and identify opportunities to improve responsible supply-chain practices.
- Produce clear, credible reporting for senior and board-level audiences.
- Manage and develop an existing team member.
- Build effective relationships across procurement, operations and the supplier community.
About You
The ideal Head of Supply Sustainability and Compliance will bring specialist experience in supply-chain governance, ESG, risk or compliance, together with evidence of turning complex requirements into workable business solutions.
You should be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, developing others and operating with the autonomy to establish a more proactive approach.
MCIPS qualification, or active progress towards CIPS qualifications desirable.
The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of spending approximately two days per week in the office.
