Head of Internal Comms

We are partnering with a major UK organisation to appoint a Head of Internal Communications . Reporting to the HR Director, this is a high-profile role working closely with the CEO, Executive Team and senior leaders across the business. 

In this hands-on role, you will lead the internal communications and colleague engagement agenda, shape leadership messaging, support business change and help build a culture where people feel informed, connected and proud to be part of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

•    Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO, Executive Team and senior leaders. 
•    Develop and deliver the internal communications and engagement strategy. 
•    Shape leadership communications, business-wide messaging and change programmes. 
•    Own the communications channel strategy and ensure messages reach a diverse colleague population. 
•    Lead colleague listening, engagement, employer brand, wellbeing and community initiatives. 
•    Use data and insight to measure impact and improve engagement. 
•    Lead and develop one direct report while influencing across a matrix organisation. 

About You

•    A senior internal communications or employee engagement professional with experience in a large or complex organisation. 
•    Credible and confident operating with C-suite and Executive stakeholders. 
•    Comfortable challenging senior leaders and offering clear, expert advice. 
•    Experienced in leading communications through change, growth or transformation. 
•    A strong writer and communicator with excellent judgement around tone, audience and timing. 
•    This is a hands-on role, you’ll be strategic in approach but willing to remain close to delivery. 
•    Commercially aware, data-led and focused on measurable outcomes.
