Group Financial Accountant

The Opportunity:

We are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing international business in the recruitment of a Group Financial Accountant. 

With operations spanning multiple international markets, the business has built a strong reputation within its sector and continues to invest in systems, processes and finance capability to support future growth. This is a newly created opportunity that offers genuine breadth, visibility and long-term career development. 

This role has been designed for a newly qualified accountant looking to take ownership, broaden their experience and gain exposure beyond traditional financial reporting.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will play a key role in management reporting, financial controls, systems improvement and ongoing finance transformation projects across the group.

The position would particularly suit someone making their first move from practice into industry, or a recently qualified accountant seeking a broader and more commercially focused role.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and financial control activities
  • Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting processes
  • Investigating and resolving financial and systems-related issues
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and controls
  • Supporting ERP optimisation and finance transformation initiatives
  • Working with stakeholders across finance and operational teams
  • Contributing to wider group projects and continuous improvement activities

You Will Be/Have:

We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status
  • Strong financial accounting and controls knowledge
  • Audit, practice or relevant industry experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong Excel and systems skills
  • An interest in process improvement and ERP systems
  • A proactive, curious and commercially-minded approach
  • The confidence to challenge constructively and take ownership of outcomes
