Graduate Data Analyst
The Company
NW Tech is delighted to be partnering with a growing North East based financial services business in their search for a Graduate Data Analyst.
NB - the position will be a hybrid working pattern requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
The Role
With strong support from a Senior Data Engineer you will start with broad, hands-on exposure across the company's data and software systems - including testing and validating reports, data and application changes. Key responsibilities include:
- Support the development and maintenance of reporting and dashboards used across the business
- Write and maintain SQL (and with support DAX and Python) for reporting, validation and data extraction
- Run data quality checks and reconciliations across key datasets
- Support data ingestion and transformation tasks within Microsoft Fabric
- Document data definitions, logic and reporting methodology so outputs are consistent
The Requirements
This is a brilliant and unique opportunity for a graduate to receive strong support and a defined progression plan from the get-go. There will be real responsibility early on and you will have exposure to a modern tech stack. Key requirements include:
- 2:1 or above in a computing, numerate or data discipline
- Basic to intermediate SQL
- Understanding of structured data and relational databases
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Clear communicator with technical and non technical people
- Logical thinker, able to spot inconsistencies, anomalies and errors.
