Financial Controller

The Business

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing and ambitious organisation.

This is a highly visible leadership role, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders while taking ownership of the finance function's day-to-day operation. You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control, delivering accurate reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.

The Role

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, reconciliations and accounting controls.
• Oversee cashflow management, treasury activities and statutory reporting.
• Manage tax compliance requirements and coordinate with external advisers where required.
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the finance team.
• Support audit processes and provide financial insight to senior leadership.
• Drive efficiencies, automation and process improvements across the finance function

Background

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting and financial controls.
• Strong background managing month-end processes, cashflow and audit requirements.
• Previous people management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
• Experience within high-volume transaction environments and knowledge of ERP or accounting systems would be advantageous
