The Business

Nigel Wright have been appointed to support a manufacturing company with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who wants to move beyond the numbers and play a key role in shaping business performance. Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, you will provide meaningful insight, challenge thinking, and help drive better commercial and operational decisions.

As a trusted partner to leadership teams, you will take ownership of financial reporting, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic decision support. Your work will directly influence profitability, efficiency, and future growth.

The Role

Producing insightful management and board reporting, combining financial results with clear commentary and recommendations.
Delivering performance analysis across revenue, margins, overheads, and operational metrics.
Partnering with department leaders to review costs, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling activities.
Building financial models to support pricing decisions, commercial opportunities, tenders, and business cases.
Analysing customer, product, and operational performance to identify risks and growth opportunities.
Providing financial insight that helps translate complex data into clear business actions.
Supporting strategic projects, process improvements, and wider finance initiatives.

Background

Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
Strong management accounting and financial analysis capability.
Experience in commercial finance, business partnering, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insight.
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
A proactive, curious, and solutions-focused approach.
