Finance Business Partner

The Opportunity

Nigel Wright are working in partnership with a forward-thinking public sector organisation to appoint a Finance Business Partner to play a key role in driving financial performance and support strategic decision-making. They are seeking an experience Business Partner to join them on a temporary basis, so require a professional who can develop relationships and create an impact in a short period of time.

This is a highly visible role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to provide insightful financial advice, shape business cases, and support the delivery of key transformation initiatives aligned to organisational priorities.
 

The Role

• Partner with service managers to deliver high-quality financial advice and challenge to improve performance
• Support the development of robust revenue and capital business cases, including options appraisals
• Identify and help deliver efficiencies, savings opportunities, and income generation initiatives
• Lead on financial input into projects and transformation programmes
• Drive process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of financial services
• Undertake benchmarking and analysis to support continuous improvement
• Build strong working relationships across services and with external partners

The Person

• A confident finance professional with strong business partnering experience
• CCAB/CIMA qualified or possess extensive experience in relevant roles
• Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at different levels
• Experience of developing business cases and supporting strategic decision-making
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and added value
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
