Our client is an established, forward-thinking accountancy practice with over 30 years’ success and a reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially focused advice to a diverse portfolio of clients.
They operate with the agility and culture of an independent firm, whilst providing technical depth comparable to much larger practices. Their client base is predominantly made up of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and corporate groups across a wide range of sectors, offering exposure to varied and interesting work.
The Role
As Corporate Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services while building strong, long-term relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, from local owner-managed businesses to UK subsidiaries of international groups
- Overseeing corporate tax compliance, including review of corporation tax returns and computations
- Acting as the main point of contact and trusted advisor to your clients
- Providing practical tax planning and advisory support across a wide range of issues
- Supporting on specialist projects including capital allowances and R&D claims
- Handling client queries and offering commercially focused solutions
- Working closely with senior leadership on complex advisory work
- Managing, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
Candidate Profile
- ACA / ACCA / CTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong corporate tax experience gained within an accountancy practice
- Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering work to a high standard
- Solid technical knowledge across compliance, with exposure to advisory work
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- A proactive, commercially minded approach
