The Role
The buyer role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step into a more influential, business-critical role to make an impact. Day to day the buyer will:
- Act as a central link between estimating and operations
- Support procurement across the full project lifecycle
- Manage supplier relationships
- Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities
- Negotiate pricing agreements and supplier rebates
- Produce procurement analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Support estimators with pricing insight and alternative sourcing options
- Assist in improving logistics

About You
The successful buyer will be have:
- Background in buying or procurement (ideally within construction)
- Proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Naturally curious – keen to understand materials, processes, and project requirements
- Confident challenging existing approaches and driving improvements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and optimisation
