Commercial Finance Business Partner
The Opportunity

Supporting one of the largest and most complex business units, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the commercial decision-making process, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, improve profitability and influence strategic direction. This is a highly visible position offering genuine scope to make an impact and work closely with top-tier stakeholders, including exposure to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operating as a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to the commercial leadership team across the UK and European markets. You will take ownership of multiple P&Ls and provide clear, insightful analysis to support business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering closely with senior stakeholders, including a General Manager, to influence strategic and operational decisions
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes
- Providing commercial insight across pricing, promotions and investment decisions
- Driving ROI analysis and challenging performance to ensure optimal resource allocation
- Translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
- Supporting cross-functional initiatives, including supply chain and inventory optimisation
- Playing a proactive role in improving financial understanding across the wider business
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially focused finance professional with strong business partnering experience and the ability to operate confidently in a demanding, high-performance environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance role
- Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving business performance
- Experience managing or supporting complex P&Ls within a fast-paced environment
- Background in consumer-led, retail or FMCG environments (highly desirable, but not essential)
- Excellent analytical skills, including advanced Excel capability and strong financial modelling experience
- Ability to present financial information clearly, with strong storytelling and communication skills
- Resilience, confidence and the ability to challenge constructively
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
