Business Operations Manager

An organisation have created a new role for a Business Operations Manager to help translate strategic priorities into coordinated, measurable action. Working closely with senior leadership and department heads, you will strengthen operational governance, improve cross-functional coordination and ensure important decisions and commitments progress through to completion. This is an influential role for someone who can bring structure, clarity and constructive challenge while helping the business achieve its objectives
Key Responsibilities
- Convert strategic priorities into clearly defined operational projects, with agreed outcomes, owners, actions and timescales.
- Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, including responsibilities, RACI models, standard operating procedures, reporting requirements and meeting disciplines.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, accountability and delivery.
- Track key business projects and actions, identifying risks, delays and barriers before they impact delivery.
- Improve the quality and consistency of management information, reporting and performance dashboards.
- Review, document and enhance business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and consistency.
- Support the implementation of change initiatives across the organisation.
- Identify opportunities to improve the use of systems, technology and automation.
- Help leaders maintain focus, accountability and momentum against agreed priorities.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through effective planning, communication and follow-through
Key Skills preferred
- Previous experience in a Business Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Programme Management, Continuous Improvement or similar operational leadership role.
- Strong understanding of business operations, governance and organisational effectiveness.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience of process improvement, operational excellence and change management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and commercial awareness.
- Confidence influencing senior leaders and constructively challenging where required.
- Highly organised, resilient and able to drive actions through to completion.
- Professional, collaborative and adaptable approach.
