AI Transformation Programme Lead

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially focused AI Transformation Programme Director to lead a high-profile transformation programme within a global, private equity-backed B2B software business. Reporting into the executive leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving AI adoption, operational transformation and organisational change across a complex international business.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future operating model of a growing software organisation that has expanded significantly through acquisition and is now focused on driving efficiency, margin improvement and long-term value creation. Working closely with the COO, CPTO and wider leadership team, you will lead a business-wide transformation programme that spans technology, product, engineering and customer operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a large-scale AI and business transformation programme across multiple functions and international locations.
• Own and manage the integrated transformation roadmap, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones and objectives.
• Work closely with executive leaders across operations, product, engineering and technology teams.
• Drive the adoption of AI-enabled operating models and automation initiatives.
• Support the redesign of technology, product and customer operations structures.
• Establish robust programme governance, accountability frameworks and performance measures.
• Identify and mitigate programme risks, dependencies and resource constraints.
• Translate transformation activity into measurable cost savings, margin improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Provide regular updates to C-suite stakeholders, board members and private equity investors.
• Ensure business change is delivered effectively whilst maintaining ongoing product development and customer delivery activities.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programmes as a Programme Director, Transformation Director or similar senior leadership role.
• A strong track record of delivering complex cross-functional change programmes.
• Experience within software, technology or SaaS environments.
• A sound understanding of product development, engineering and software delivery lifecycles.
• Experience leveraging AI, automation or technology-enabled operating models to drive business improvement.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link transformation activity to P&L performance, cost reduction and margin improvement.
• Experience working directly with C-suite executives, boards and private equity stakeholders.
• Excellent programme leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• The ability to drive accountability and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating within a global organisation and willing to undertake international travel when required.

Location: Flexible UK base with occasional international travel - head office based in the North West

Salary: £100,000-£120,000 + package (subject to final agreement).
