The Opportunity
An established and well-regarded business is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a permanent basis. This is a key appointment due to an upcoming departure within the team, creating an excellent opportunity for someone looking to become an integral part of a busy and supportive finance function.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring day-to-day financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently whilst supporting the wider finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage payments and transactional finance activities
- Complete bank and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Support month-end finance processes
- Resolve finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure all work is completed in line with deadlines and company procedures
- Assist with maintaining efficient finance processes and controls
The Person
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a transactional finance or accounts assistant position
- Strong invoice processing, payment and reconciliation experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and flexible approach
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative
- Experience using finance systems, with knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics beneficial but not essential
- Permanent position
