Due to continued growth, they are expanding our maintenance team and seeking experienced Senior Maintenance Technicians for their Morganton, North Carolina facility.

About the Facility
Their sites operate complex, high-speed manufacturing lines producing a variety of beverage formats, including:
- Blow fill, cold fill and hot fill production
- Still and carbonated beverages
- PET, glass and aluminium packaging
- Tunnel pasteurisation processes
The environment is highly automated, constantly changing, and requires engineers who can think critically, troubleshoot independently, and keep production running.
The role:
Matrix Bottling are looking for Senior Multi-Skilled Electro-Mechanical professionals based in North Carolina, USA, who can quickly diagnose and resolve issues across production, packaging, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
This is not a role for someone who simply follows maintenance schedules. They need hands-on problem-solvers who enjoy tackling challenging breakdowns, improving equipment reliability, and supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Outside of first shift, successful candidates will often be the technical reference point for 1-2 other technicians on shift and will be expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Predominantly 3-shift rotating pattern (8-hour shifts)
- Perform preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance on high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation-related faults.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions.
- Support production line changeovers and equipment optimisation.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, sensors, servo drives, motors and automated systems.
- Maintain pumps, pressure systems, conveyors, filling equipment, case packers, palletisers, coding systems and packaging equipment.
- Utilise CMMS systems to document maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Identify and source spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Lead and support Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on reliability, uptime, safety and cost reduction.
- Mentor and support junior technicians where required.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, SQF, LOTO, 5S and site safety standards.
The requirements:
Essential Experience:
- Maintenance, Reliability, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance or Engineering experience within:
- Beverage Manufacturing
- Food Manufacturing
- FMCG Manufacturing
- Packaging Operations
- High-Speed Automated Production Environments
Strong experience troubleshooting and maintaining:
- Pumps and pressure systems
- Motors and drives
- Conveyors
- Electrical controls
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Sensors and instrumentation
- Automated production equipment
- PLC-controlled machinery
