Help Shape the Future of One of Sweden’s Most Iconic Coffee Brands
JDE Peet’s is one of the world’s leading coffee and tea companies, home to iconic brands including Gevalia, L’OR, Jacobs, Tassimo, Senseo and Espresso House Coffee. As we continue to strengthen our Northern European marketing organisation, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Category Marketing Manager to lead the future development of Gevalia, one of Sweden’s most recognised and loved coffee brands.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a brand with deep Swedish heritage while helping define its next chapter. As Gevalia undergoes a comprehensive brand review, you will play a central role in shaping the future strategy, driving sustainable growth, strengthening brand relevance, and building a portfolio that continues to win with consumers across markets and channels.
The Opportunity
As Category Marketing Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for defining and leading the long-term brand and category strategy for Gevalia. Working across multiple coffee segments and channels, you will combine consumer insight, commercial understanding and strategic thinking to accelerate growth and strengthen the brand’s position in the market.
You will lead a team of Brand Managers and work closely with colleagues across Sales, Shopper Marketing, Global Marketing, R&D, Finance and external agency partners. In addition, you will manage senior stakeholders across markets and functions, ensuring alignment behind a clear strategy and a strong execution agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the long-term brand and category strategy for Gevalia across roast & ground, whole beans and instant coffee for both the retail and away-from-home channel, ensuring sustainable growth in brand equity, market share, category value and profitability.
- Own and develop the portfolio agenda, strengthening the core business while identifying future growth opportunities, closing portfolio gaps and building distinctive propositions that resonate with consumers and customers.
- Translate consumer, shopper, competitor, category and financial insights into clear strategic priorities, commercial recommendations and actionable growth plans.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated communication, media and activation plans, ensuring a consistent brand experience across the full consumer journey.
- Coach, develop and inspire a team of Brand Managers while fostering a high-performance culture built around collaboration, accountability and excellence in execution.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to bring strategies to life, ensuring alignment between brand ambitions, commercial priorities and business objectives.
- Take ownership of the brand P&L and marketing investments, balancing long-term brand building with short-term commercial performance and profitability.
Build the Future from Stockholm
Based in Stockholm, you will be part of JDE Peet’s Northern European omnichannel marketing organisation, collaborating with colleagues across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. This role offers a unique combination of local market ownership and international exposure, providing the opportunity to influence both the future of Gevalia and the broader coffee category across the region.
For marketers who are passionate about brands, consumer behaviour and commercial growth, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on one of Sweden’s most iconic brands while working in a highly collaborative international environment.
