Help Strengthen One of Sweden's Most Iconic Coffee Brands

Gevalia has been part of Swedish coffee culture for generations and remains one of the country's most recognised and trusted brands. As the brand enters an exciting new chapter, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Brand Manager to help shape its future.

This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of one of JDE's most important brands, leading the development of brand plans, innovation initiatives, communication strategies and commercial activation programmes that drive both brand equity and business performance. You will play a central role in defining what the next generation of Gevalia looks like while working closely with teams across Sweden and the wider Northern European organisation. 
 

The Opportunity

As Brand Manager, you will be responsible for translating brand strategy into clear priorities, plans and activation across multiple channels and consumer touchpoints. You will work closely with the Category Marketing Manager and collaborate with colleagues across Sales, Shopper Marketing, R&D, Finance, Cluster Marketing and Global Marketing to deliver initiatives that strengthen both brand performance and commercial success. 

With Gevalia currently undergoing an extensive brand review, this role offers a rare opportunity to influence the future direction of one of Sweden's strongest consumer brands. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, turning consumer and market insights into compelling brand programmes that create growth across categories, channels and occasions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate the Gevalia brand strategy into clear annual plans, priorities and execution across multiple consumer segments and channels, ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence.
  • Lead the development and delivery of key brand initiatives, including innovation launches, communication campaigns, packaging projects and activation programmes from concept through to execution and performance evaluation.
  • Turn consumer, shopper, market and commercial insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen brand relevance, grow market share and improve business performance.
  • Develop and execute integrated 360° communication and activation plans in collaboration with creative and media agency partners, ensuring strong consumer engagement across the entire customer journey.
  • Work closely with Sales, Shopper Marketing, Finance, R&D, Global Marketing and external agencies to align priorities and deliver best-in-class execution.
  • Monitor brand, category and commercial performance, identifying opportunities for growth and translating results into clear actions and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to portfolio development by strengthening the core business, identifying new growth opportunities and supporting innovation and optimisation decisions across the Gevalia portfolio.
  • Act as a strong brand owner, balancing long-term brand building with short-term commercial priorities to deliver sustainable growth. 

Help Shape the Future of Gevalia from Stockholm

Based in Stockholm, you will be part of a Northern European omnichannel marketing organisation with colleagues across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Gevalia plays a central role within JDE's brand portfolio and continues to be a key growth driver across multiple coffee categories and channels. 

This role offers the opportunity to combine local market impact with exposure to a broader international organisation. You will collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders while helping define the future direction of one of Sweden's most iconic brands. 
 

Who Are You?

You are an experienced marketer who combines strong brand-building capabilities with commercial curiosity and a passion for understanding consumer behaviour. You know how to turn insights into action, balance strategic thinking with execution, and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. 

You are likely to bring:

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally within FMCG or another branded consumer goods environment.
  • A relevant university degree. 
  • A proven track record of translating brand strategy into successful communication, activation, innovation and portfolio initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how brand investment drives category growth, market share and profitability.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to convert complex data into clear recommendations and business decisions.
  • Experience working with agencies and managing marketing budgets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working across functions, markets and cultures.
  • A structured and proactive approach, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive projects forward.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English.
