Product Development Specialist

About the role:

Another Snus Factory is looking for a Product Development Specialist to support the development and optimisation of nicotine pouch formulations, from practical testing and pilot-scale trials through to technical documentation and transfer into manufacturing.

Working closely with the Head of Innovation, international R&D colleagues, Production, Quality Assurance and Product & Regulatory, you will help turn technical ideas into well-planned tests and product improvements. You will coordinate ongoing development activities, prepare materials and test protocols, conduct routine laboratory analyses and ensure that results are documented accurately and systematically.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines a genuine interest in product development with an analytical, structured and practical approach. You will contribute to products intended for multiple markets while helping to maintain the quality, documentation and traceability required in a regulated manufacturing environment.
 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Support the development and optimisation of filler formulations for nicotine pouches in line with agreed project objectives, technical requirements and priorities.
• Plan, coordinate and follow up activities, timelines and deliverables across ongoing product development projects.
• Prepare ingredients, materials, SOPs and test protocols for development testing and pilot-scale manufacturing trials.
• Support the planning, preparation, execution and follow-up of pilot trials.
• Conduct routine laboratory analyses, including measurements of moisture content, pH, density and flow properties.
• Record data, results, observations and deviations accurately and systematically to ensure quality and traceability.
• Prepare reports and technical documentation to support regulatory submissions and internal decision-making.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Production and Product & Regulatory to share results, resolve technical issues and support the transfer of products into manufacturing.

• You will likely have:
• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with SOPs, test protocols and technical documentation.
• Experience planning and coordinating projects, activities and multiple parallel priorities.
• Experience from a regulated industry or manufacturing environment where quality, documentation and traceability are important.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
• An analytical, structured and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to interpret results and draw meaningful conclusions.
• A practical, proactive and collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in product development and continuous improvement.
