Lead JDE's Nordic Shopper Organisation

JDE is one of the world's leading coffee and tea companies, home to iconic brands including Gevalia, L'OR, Jacobs, Tassimo, Senseo and Espresso House Coffee. As JDE continues to strengthen its Nordic organisation, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Nordic Head of Shopper to lead the shopper agenda across the region.

This is a unique opportunity to influence how some of the strongest brands within FMCG win at the point of purchase, while leading a highly specialised Nordic team and shaping shopper strategy across multiple markets. You will play a key role in building stronger customer partnerships, driving commercial growth and ensuring best-in-class shopper activation throughout the Nordics.

The Opportunity

As Nordic Head of Shopper, you will lead the development and execution of the Nordic shopper strategy in Sweden and Finland and be a key member of the Nordic Management Team. Reporting directly to the Nordic General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that shopper, category and customer insights are translated into impactful commercial initiatives that drive sustainable growth across the region.

A key part of the role will be to strengthen collaboration between Sales, Marketing and Customer teams while ensuring that shopper priorities are effectively integrated into both strategic planning and day-to-day execution. You will lead a team of shopper specialists and work closely with key customers to develop innovative solutions that enhance category performance, improve in-store execution and strengthen shopper engagement. In addition, you will represent the Nordic organisation towards JDE's global shopper function and play an important role in translating global shopper strategies, tools and best practices into successful local execution. This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence across both the Nordic markets and the wider international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Nordic shopper strategy in alignment with brand, category and commercial priorities.
  • Lead, coach and develop the Nordic Shopper team to deliver strong business results and organisational capability.
  • Develop shopper marketing campaigns and in-store activation programmes tailored to Nordic market needs.
  • Lead initiatives within assortment optimisation, category development, shelf space and display execution.
  • Support Key Account teams with customer planning, promotion strategy development, KPI setting and performance tracking.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of shopper marketing activities and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Take a leading role in innovation launches and go-to-market planning across the Nordic region.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with customer category, marketing, media and space management teams.
  • Act as the primary Nordic representative towards the global shopper organisation, ensuring alignment on strategy, tools and ways of working.
  • Shape the future direction of the Nordic shopper organisation while contributing to the wider Nordic commercial strategy.

Build the Future from Stockholm

As part of JDE's continued development across the Nordic region, Stockholm is becoming an increasingly important hub for commercial leadership and strategic decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence both Nordic and global priorities while working at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, Category and Customer Development.
For candidates who are excited by combining strategy, leadership and commercial impact, this is an opportunity to shape the future shopper agenda of a world-class FMCG organisation. You will work closely with key customers, senior Nordic stakeholders and global teams while helping to build an even stronger Nordic business from Stockholm.

Who are you?

You are an experienced commercial leader who understands how shopper behaviour can be translated into stronger customer partnerships and sustainable business growth. You combine a strategic mindset with a highly analytical approach and have a proven ability to influence stakeholders across both local and international organisations.

You are likely to bring:

  • Around 10 years of experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong experience within shopper marketing, category management or related commercial disciplines.
  • A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience working successfully within a complex international matrix organisation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a fact-based approach to decision-making.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive execution through collaboration.
  • Experience working closely with major retail customers and commercial teams.
  • International experience from a leading FMCG business would be considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Personally, you are an engaging and authentic leader who builds trust, communicates with clarity and brings people together around common goals. You combine a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach and enjoy turning opportunities into measurable results. Structured, commercially minded and driven by impact, you thrive in environments where collaboration, innovation and execution are equally important.

For this role, JDE is working together with Nigel Wright. Any questions may be directed to Mikael Andersson. Please note that no applicants will be contacted until earliest August 5th.
