Lead JDE's Swedish Retail Business

JDE is one of the world's leading coffee and tea companies, home to iconic brands including Gevalia, L'OR, Jacobs, Tassimo, Senseo and Espresso House Coffee. As JDE continues to strengthen its Nordic organisation, we are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Retail Sweden to lead the Swedish retail business from our Stockholm office.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of one of JDE's most important markets, leading a commercial organisation of 30+ employees while shaping future growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and building a high-performing team.

The Opportunity

As Head of Retail Sweden, you will have full responsibility for JDE's retail business in Sweden, including commercial strategy, sales performance, people leadership and P&L ownership. You will report to the Commercial Director Sweden & Finland and be a key member of the extended Nordic Commercial Leadership Team.
A key part of the role will be to continue developing and strengthening the Swedish organisation while ensuring long-term profitable and sustainable growth in the multi-brew segment, streamline operations, and address any hiccups in the system. As such there a must win battle is to build category profit pools in Sweden even further. This strategic goal will necessitate close collaboration with the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rebuild the Swedish sales organisation from its recent “reset”.
  • Define and deliver the Annual Operating Plan and ensure its holistic delivery throughout the year, defining and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and manage the entire sales organisation. This includes coaching and developing the sales team to achieve maximum performance and the capability to exceed business targets.
  • Develop and implement the Swedish retail commercial strategy. Actively foster the integration of the Swedish commercial strategy with the broader Nordics region.
  • Develop key growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans, in line with the OpEx priorities set for Sweden.
  • Build a strong market presence for single-serve products while maintaining JDE’s leading position in the multi-serve market, and optimize the Swedish pricing structure to enhance JDE's overall profit margins.
  • Develop and expand the market for coffee machines within the retail coffee sector.
  • Shape the future direction of the Swedish business while contributing to the wider Nordic strategy.

Build the Future from Stockholm

As part of JDE's ongoing organisational development, Stockholm will be home to the Swedish leadership team and a growing number of key functions. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of building a stronger, even more collaborative organisation in Stockholm while working closely with colleagues across the Nordic region.
For candidates who are excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing team and culture, this will be a chance to make a lasting impact on the future of JDE Sweden.

Who are you?
