Rent-All is a leading international event solutions provider, delivering high-end lighting, audio, video, and rigging for some of the world’s most demanding live environments - from major festivals to TV productions and global events.
The company is in a strong growth phase and operates through an international group of entities, each with its own technical teams and infrastructure. The headquarters in Bemmel, Netherlands, acts as the central hub and plays a critical role in setting the standard for quality, execution, and operational excellence across the network.
With rapid expansion, the business is now entering its next phase: moving from entrepreneurial growth to a more structured, scalable, and performance-driven organisation. This role is central to making that transition successful.

The role:

This is a high-impact leadership role at the heart of Rent-All’s global operations.
As Head of Technical Services Department, you will take full ownership of a 60-person operation in Bemmel, Netherlands - the core engine behind equipment quality, readiness, and turnaround. You will lead through an existing structure of Team Leaders and foremen, ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance across both service and repair functions.
But the role goes beyond a single site.
You will also act as the key link across Rent-All’s international technical organisation, helping to create consistency between locations and ensuring that quality, safety, and ways of working are aligned group-wide. This is a position where you can directly influence how a fast-growing international business operates at scale.
Your mission is clear:

  • Bring structure and clarity to a department that has grown organically
  • Introduce processes, KPIs, and performance discipline
  • Elevate leadership capability and ways of working
  • Ensure consistent quality and safety standards across locations
You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, being visibly present on the floor while also shaping the future direction of the function.
This is not a purely technical role. It is about leading people, driving change, and building a scalable operation in a technically complex environment.

The requirements:

The Head of Technical Services Department requires a proven operational leader who thrives in environments where structure needs to be built and teams need to be brought along a journey.
You bring:

  • Experience leading large teams (50+ people) in operational or technical environments
  • A strong track record in driving change, improving processes, and professionalising organisations
  • The ability to lead through layers of management, empowering Team Leaders rather than bypassing them
  • A strategic mindset, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
Equally important is your leadership style:
  • You build credibility quickly, particularly with technical specialists
  • You create clarity, structure, and accountability
  • You know how to bring people with you in times of change
  • You are comfortable operating in a business that is scaling and evolving
You do not need to be a deep technical expert across all disciplines - but you do need to understand technical environments and speak the language of the teams.

Languages:
  • Dutch and English (fluent) are essential
  • German is an advantage
